Awards Ceremony – wasn’t it fab?

The first images of the day can be seen now here: https://thepenicuikepic.wordpress.com/the-entries/iawards-ceremony-images/. It would be great if anyone who has images could send them in ? 🙂

It seems everyone had a great day and we hope everyone had got the message – everybody is a winner here as all got published!

For those of you who missed the magic moments to hear the cliff hanger snippets – have a listen here to a pre-recorded session by the readers of the day. Apart from the one lucky winner’s story which got read by Janis. 🙂

The copies of the first print round for Strathesk and Cornbank primaries can be picked up from West Street (remember to bring £6.50 and identification, so we know you come from the school).

The revised copies will be available shortly. We will post the links to the LULU print on demand site tomorrow or Tuesday

Sacred Heart: we owe you £1, as we overcharged you.

Just one of the many fumble-tumbles you have to forgive us for, folks… as after all what would an awards ceremony for a Penicuik Mystery Quest without a few challenges!

Judith Mathers has the school folders with everybody’s entries in them, which includes the star-wish-quote slips for each entry. She will send them to the schools.this week

thank you everyone for making epic success in Penicuik

Thank you to the children for your voices arising

thank you Janis for lifting spirits and rounding their skills

thank you teachers and family for nurturing their growing well

to teach the world : “all is possible if you believe it!”

Need to dash to the one last chorus of the Penfest 2014 at West St.

Will we hear one of your stories https://thepenicuikepic.wordpress.com/the-entries/the-lucky-winners/ ?

Thanks to the council for the town hall and to the teams of PCAA and  the writers groups to make it all happen.  As Stephen the librarian said – it was the end of a huge amount of work and the beginning of something new.

Anybody took any pictures?

today it shall all be revealed – almost!

“And the lucky winner is….”

noise of slab on hand and hushed sharp voice: “Shhh – almost there! But, if winners are not there, shall we give the prizes to the others who are there?!

Hm, good question, I shall consult with the Mysterious team this minute!

See you all there,

and if not… well how about checking out the “Star-Wish-Quote” slips from here:…

it is Your star

2 more days before the big Epic Penicuik Mystery day!

Hope this reaches everyone who should be there this Saturday collecting their Penicuik Epic Mystery award, and that at least the 9 winners of the 82 winners, who are published writers now, will be there collecting their prizes.

As we are aware that because of the long planned and prepared Awards Ceremony on the 13th September falling on the September weekend, we are launching this Penicuik Epic blog here ahead of the big day. Please enjoy the tantalising pages and posts here meanwhile and get in touch with anything on your heart.

We hope to see and hear you on Saturday, and here, and everywhere in the pursuit and quest of making this Penicuik Epic  – the good gifts hiding in all stories and volunteer contributions – come alive this autumn in and around Penicuik.

ready steady go…

(once we are ready, phew, still more to do !)

Penicuik Epic launch program 3

only 3 more days to the launch!

Shhh....._Wallpaper_ka8dySo much still to do and all still in a hush..

The feedback slips are being formatted, the quote cards are being cut, and the sound cloud account has being opened. The colour version of the book has been sent to LULU now too.

Soon you will be able to send us a reading of your own Penicuik Epic story or of your favourite story in the book.
We like your voice bringing the stories alive! Meanwhile  we are learning many more new tricks, such as formatting the feedback slips (next time we will go back in time and do them by hand – will be faster!) and processing the recording.

Now next for setting up the book’s intro pages here in this blog.

And letting you know now, the order of the day on Saturday:
